Mission statement:

Facilitate meaningful partnership among Peoples' networks and supporting NGOs with a focus on their (livelihood) economic initiatives.

• Organize capacity-building programmes to support and strengthen their economic activities, its' market and management, focusing sustainable development.

• Promote and provide linkages among different groups of People involved in social and economic empowerment process through 'Learning and sharing', both in their social-action programmes and in entrepreneurial activities with ethical values and concern for environment.

• Build, strengthen and sustain Fair-trade on global standards, among various stakeholders for a value-based and mutually responsive social activities and trading partnership that shall ensure dignity, value for skills and resources, greater equity, accountability and respect.

Objectives/Goals:

“To work for and support better quality of life for the Marginalized and facilitate their efforts towards sustainable development with dignity” – through networking, capacity building, sustainable livelihood initiatives and by providing support services, strengthen socially responsible activities and work for needed policy, advocacy and changes towards fair-trade and trade to be fair.

Achievements:

 ➢ SIPA is a network of over 40 Producer groups (NGOs / Producer Cooperatives / Trusts / SHG Networks & CBOs) in South India, covering the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerela, Pondicherry and Tamilnadu, reaching-out to more than 5000 artisan families.

➢ Since inception, we are exporting to the tune of 250 million serving the marginalized women folk.

➢ Received Merit Certificate for Miscellaneous Craft and India item from EPCH for five times between 1994 and 2009.
